Greystone Foundation
Human Services Scholarship
Each year Greystone Foundation offers a one-time financial scholarship of $1,500.00 to three graduating high school students living in Dutchess, Orange or Ulster counties in NY.
REQUIREMENTS :
1. Must be a 2026 graduate from a High School in Orange, Ulster or Dutchess County. 2. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited college, including community colleges, in a health or human services field of study, such as, but not limited to, Human Services, Nursing, Physical/Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Sociology, Education. 3. Must have completed 40 hours of volunteer or paid work in a human services-related organization in the previous 12 months. Payable to Recipient upon receipt of the following: 1. Evidence of enrollment in acceptable undergraduate program. 2. Evidence of volunteer or work hours in a human services organization.

Gisella Terralavoro
2026 Graduate of Valley Central High School
Orange County
Attending Coastal Carolina University in the fall of 2026 to purse a Human Services degree, on a Pre Law Track.
Career Goal:
She plans to major in Human Services, attend law school, and eventually be a human rights lawyer. Her goal is to bridge the gap between social services and the legal system so she can advocate for equity, safety, and dignity for all, especially women and children.
Volunteer Work:
Fearless! Hudson Valley- Leadership participant, community action project, volunteer at 5 K races, collect hygiene products. Building Blocks Day care- Assistant teacher in the toddler room.
Read books, change diapers, communicate with parents, prepare snack time, engage in active play.

Tristan Post
2026 Graduate of Rondout Valley High School
Ulster County
Attending Nazareth University in the fall of 2026 to purse a degree in Health Sciences, with an accelerated Doctor of Physical Therapy 6yr Program.
Career Goal:
He plans to attend Nazareth University to earn a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree and work with individuals with disabilities, as well as athletes and older adults, helping improve mobility, independence, and quality of life while serving his community through compassionate, patient-centered care.
Volunteer Work:
Rondout Valley High School Peer Leader, Unified Physical Education, Youth Lacrosse Assistant Coach, and S.O.S. Triathlon - Mentored students, supported individuals with disabilities, assisted youth athletes, and contributed to safe, organized community events.
Mia Villani
2025 Graduate of Valley Central High School
Attending SUNY Cortland in the fall of 2025 to purse a Bachelors of Science degree in Education; major in Physical Education; concentration in adapted physical education.
Career Goal:
I plan to become an adapted physical education teacher where I can be a gym teacher for individuals with disabilities. Post undergraduate school, I plan to obtain a masters degree in special education where I can be a physical education and special education teacher.
Volunteer Work:
Town of Walden Recreational Summer Camp counselor- Responsible for the safety of children ages 5-12 and was able to assist campers in sports activities, swimming, mental health activities and advocated for the children's social development.

Attending Binghamton University in the fall of 2026 to purse a Psychology degree.
Career Goal:
Her academic and career goal is to pursue Clinical Psychology at Binghamton University and continue her education in graduate school to earn a PhD in Clinical Psychology. Her experience assisting in a classroom showed her the vital importance of early mental health support, inspiring her commitment to the clinical field. She plans to dedicate her career to improving adolescent mental health care and overall well-being.
Volunteer Work:
Arthur S. May Elementary School, Unpaid Teaching Assistant. She assisted the classroom teacher, Mrs. Shook, by supporting students with assignments, reading to students, and providing one-on-one academic help.
Arlington High School, Peer Tutor. Provided academic guidance and study support to fellow students to help them succeed in their coursework.
Arlington Backpack Program, Volunteer. Packed and prepared food bags for distribution to food-insecure students within the Arlington school district.

Attending SUNY Buffalo in the fall of 2025 to purse a Bachelors of Science degree in Biomedical Sciences.
Career Goal:
I look forward to research opportunities and will work toward eventually being accepted to medical school. I hope to focus on neurology or emergency medicine.
Volunteer Work:
Roosevelt Fire District Rescue Squad, Hyde Park - volunteer on the ambulance. I am NYScertified as an emergency medical technician (EMT}. I also volunteered at the Mid-Hudson Valley Camp, a sleep away camp for children with intellectual/developmental disabilities in Esopus.
