Advocacy for Autism and other Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) and Direct Support Professionals
At Greystone Programs, we are deeply committed to advocating for children, adults, and families with autism and other intellectual/developmental disabilities, as well as Direct Support Professionals(DSP). We believe that meaningful change begins with proactive efforts to shape policies and systems that directly impact the lives of those we serve.
Our advocacy efforts focus on:
-
Influencing Policy: We actively engage with policymakers and government officials to champion legislative and regulatory changes that support the rights, needs, and aspirations of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
-
Raising Awareness: By educating the public and key stakeholders, we aim to better understand the challenges faced by those with autism and developmental disabilities and Direct Support professionals and their unique strengths and contributions to our communities.
-
Empowering Voices: Greystone Programs works to ensure that the voices of those we serve and our staff are heard. We provide platforms and opportunities for self-advocacy and representation at local, state, and federal levels.
Our Goal
We strive to create a world where children, adults, and families with autism and other intellectual/developmental disabilities, as well as the Direct Support Professionals, have equitable access to resources, opportunities, and the support they need to thrive.
Join us in advocating for meaningful change and making sure that every voice is heard. Together, we can create a more inclusive and supportive future.
